Consumer Behavior: Preparing for the New Normal | November 10, 6pm-9pm (New Date!)

This online interactive workshop will deliver critical insights into consumer behavior theory - plus - the opportunity to interact with other marketing professionals in applying those important insights. Led by veteran marketer and CityU faculty member Jim O’Farrell, we will explore highly relevant consumer behavior academic theory, and how those theoretical foundations become best practices that you can apply in your work and your personal life as we broach the "new normal" or post-pandemic world.

Through a partnership with AMA Puget Sound, City University of Seattle is offering a Marketing Workshop series introducing you to the content in CityU’s four marketing emphasis courses. This sampling of content showcases these courses which are aligned with the Professional Certified Marketer (PCM) from AMA. Come get an intro to these key marketing areas and learn how you can take advantage of CityU’s 15% tuition reduction for AMA Puget Sound members on CityU courses.

Covered Content Areas:

Consumer Behavior | November 10 (New Date!)

The consumer behavior workshop gives you the idea of the course that examines the consumer behavior process and what, when, why, where and how consumers choose products and services. It explores how consumer behavior is influenced by marketers’ actions. We will address marketing research such as research methodology, question design and selection and the interpretation and analysis.

Marketing Analytics | TBD in early 2021

The Marketing Analytics workshop introduces the course that examines strategic decision models and marketing metrics. Market insight, forecasting, data mining, pricing, search marketing analytics, sales analytics, competitive analysis, and presenting the data are covered in the course.

Marketing Communications | TBD in 2021

This workshop examines theories of integrated marketing communications which includes public relations, social media, mobile, content marketing, traditional print and broadcast media and the influence of integrated marketing communication on marketing strategy and organizational effectiveness.

Brand Management | TBD in 2021

This interactive workshop introduces students to the concept of brand management and engagement. We will give you a taste of the course that provides understanding of how consumer behavior and customer engagement influences the creation and management of a successful brand along with brand engagement, the sales process, customer relationship management, and how the customer accesses the brand.
